The Warrensburgh News, March 28, 1895: "Mrs. Israel Mead, who has been seriously sick for some time, is a little better."
The Troy Daily Times, March 30, 1895: "WARRENSBURGH. – Betsey Ann, wife of Israel Mead, a veteran, was buried to-day, the comrades of Charette post, G.A.R., acting as bearers. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church."
The Warrensburgh News, April 4, 1895: "Mrs. Israel Mead died Thursday at the home of her son-in-law, Wm. Clark, of Thurman, of dropsy, aged fifty years. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in this village Saturday at 11 a. m. Interment was made on Harrington hill."
The Glens Falls Morning-Star, April 6, 1895: "Warrensburg. Mrs. Israel Mead died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Clark, of Thurman, of dropsy after a long illness. She is survived by a husband, four sons and three daughters. Funeral Saturday at 11 A.M. at the Presbyterian church in this village. Interment on Harrington hill."
