Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato, the Rev. Erv Czarnechi officiating. Burial is in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at Mankato Mortuary, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation continues one hour before services Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Abelman was born Jan. 26, 1913, to Julius and Elizabeth (Lonien) Vermeersch at Faribault. She married Earl W. Abelman in 1934 in Faribault. They later moved to Mankato. She was a seamstress and worked for Midtex until retirement in 1978. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Eagles Club. Her interests included crocheting, baking, quilting and bird watching.
Mrs. Abelman is survived by one daughter, Betty Anderson of rural Mankato; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ann Langevin of Judson, Irene Van Ryan of Faribault, and Loretta Devens and her husband, Gene, of Montana; one brother and his wife, Louis and Bernice of Hackensack; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister.
