Born August 31, 1914, in Marquette, a daughter of George and Janet A. (Steen) Billings, Lottie was a 1932 graduate of the Graveraet High School.
Lottie was a homemaker and caregiver who cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a very joyous and forgiving person who will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. She was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church serving as a member of Group L and was instrumental in starting the church's prayer chain. She was an accomplished pianist, playing for numerous area churches. Lottie was a lifetime member of the Royal Neighbors, the Northern Queen Rebekah's serving in numerous offices and in 1988 was awarded the Declaration of Chivalry, one of the highest honors of the Rebekah's. She also served as a board member of the Marquette Federated Women's Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Coralie (Rick) Hambleton of Marquette; her son, George (Marilyn) E. Voce, Jr. of Marquette; three grandchildren, Christopher Maynard, Adam (Laura) Maynard and Cory Hambleton; five step grandchildren, Patrick, Peter, Cindy, Therese and Paul (Beth) LaValley; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Sebastian Maynard; nine step great-grandchildren, Tina, Michael, Evelyn, Tony, Dominic, Dylan, Brittany, Travis and Tyler LaValley, sister-in-law Lucille Epper and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; her two sisters, Ruth Bowers and Irene Carlton; and her brother, John Billings, and sisters-in-law Hazel Jensen, Lucette Billings and Neva Yelle.
