Robert J. Amidon, 93, of 29 Carr Road, Dennis Port, died Sunday, April 29, at Whitehall Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Ida M. (Denis) Amidon, and was a native of West Chesterfield, Conn. He was a retired lumber salesman, formerly employed by Blanchard Lumber Co. of Boston. He retired from the company in 1950 after more than thirty-five years. He had lived in Springfield and moved to Dennis Port in 1972. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. David T. (Elaine) Conlin, of Dennis Port, a brother, four granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter. Burial was in Swan Lake Cemetery, Dennis Port.
