Note: Anton Palzer's first child. Her mother died when she was 21. Four years later Anton immigrated to Mishicot with his 7 children of which my grandfather who was six years old was the youngest. Anton never remarried. Mary was the de facto mother of the others. She was very photogenic and talented and the only one of her siblings that didn't get married. She lived with her father until he died at age 83. She died on 6/4/1930 and was 82 yr, 8mo, and 7d old, which gives 9/28/1847 as her birth date according to her death certificate at Manitowoc ROD. She was the only one of my grandfather's siblings for whom I don't have the birth record, but from various other sources I had 1847 as her year of birth. She lived on the Palzer homestead until she broke her hip and moved to St. Mary's Orphanage until her death. She was the first born; lived the longest of all of her siblings and was preceded in death by all of them (except my grandfather, Frank, the youngest and last to die 11 years later).
