A native of Italy, Mrs. Lucy
Messina, 87, formerly of 24 S.
New York St., died Monday
(Jan. 17. 1968) at St. C l a r e
Manor, Lockport, after a lengthy
illness.
She was born Nov. 11, 1878 in
Italy, the daughter of Angelo
and Lucy Capadonna Gugliuzzo
She had lived in Lockport for about 50 years.
Her husband, Frank Messina
died on July 9, I960.
Surviving are three daughters,
Mrs. Anthony LaPorte of Hempstead,
L. I., Mrs. Vincent Campana
of Medina, Mrs. Carmen
D'Angelo of Lockport: one son,
Samuel Messina of Cheektowaga;
nine grandchildren and six
great - grandchildren; and one
sister, Mrs. Carmello Ardire of
New York City.
Friends may call at the Taylor
& Reynolds Funeral Home,
Niagara at N. Transit Street,
where funeral services will be
held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday and
at 9 from St, Anthony's Church
Burlal will be in St. Patrick's
Cemetery.
