Frank Messina, 84, Gardener, Dies
Frank Messina, 84, of 321 Hawley St, a retired gardener, died Saturday (July 9, 1960) in Buffalo. Born in Italy July 4, 1876 he came to this country at an early age. He worked for a Medina florist as a gardener until hist retirement about 20 years ago. He has lived here for the past several years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lucy Gugliuzzo, three daughters, Mrs Anthony Laporta of Hempstead L.I., Mrs. Vincent Campana of Medina and Carmen D'Angelo of Lockport, a son, Samuel Messina of Kenmore; a sister Mrs Anthony Martino of Medina, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:30 Tuesday morning at the Taylor and Reynolds Funeral Home Niagara and Transit Streets. A requiem mass will be celebrated at 9 Tuesday morning at St. Anthony's Church. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
