Alice Tubb Kremser, 99, a former resident of Clarksdale, passed away on October 6, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church on October 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation preceding at 10:00 a.m. Father Scott Thomas will be officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Clarksdale. The ladies of the church will host a gathering at the Church for friends and family after the graveside service.

Visitation will also be held at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home, Clarksdale, on October 9, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Alice Kremser was born in Amory, Mississippi to the Alfred Arna Tubb and Hattie Verna Tubb on September 15, 1916. She graduated Itta Bena high school at Itta Bena, Mississippi. She attended Business School in Greenwood. She worked for Boreman Lumber Company of Clarksdale and Federal Land Bank in Cleveland prior to her marriage. She was an avid genealogist and was a member of the Clarksdale chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Colonial Dames.

Alice was a member of and once president of each of the following organizations: the Clarksdale Women's Club, also the Clarksdale Garden Club, and the St. Anne's Altar Society at St. Elizabeth's Church.

Alice was the widow of Robert C. Kremser Jr. of Clarksdale and is survived by her daughter Harriet Kremser Cwikiel of Jackson, TN and sons Carl Geoffrey Kremser of Destin, FL and Robert C. Kremser III and wife Brenda of Ocracoke, NC., her grandchildren Loran Kremser Jarzen, Criss Cwikiel Wilson and husband Nick, Nicole Kremser Erwin and husband Wayne, Ted Cwikiel, Johnathon August Kremser and wife Jolie, and Kyle Kremser and wife Megan. She also leaves behind 11 great grandchildren. 2 great-great grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her son, John Kremser and her sister Atherton (Betty) Garmon, all of Clarksdale.
