Final services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Van Natta Funeral Home for Clifford C. McMillan, 58, of 105 Reckitt Street, Sycamore, who passed away Tuesday morning at the Sycamore Armory where he was employed, following a heart attack. He had had a heart condition for sometime. The Rev. Franklin Frost of the First Baptist Church officiated and burial was in the Elmwood cemetery. Many friends called at the local funeral home to pay their final respects to this esteemed local resident.
He was born Dec. 24, 1904, in Richland Center, Wis., the son of Thomas and Clara Olson McMillan. He grew up in that area and attended the schools there.
On June 10, 1927, he was married to Ellen Savage in Black River Falls, Wis., where they made their home until 1941, when they moved to Sycamore. Prior to his being employed at the Armory, he had been an employee at Anaconda Wire and Cable Company for several years.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Bernard and Arnold, both of Sycamore; four grandchildren, two brothers, Edward of Black River Falls, Wis., and Keith of Beloit, Wis., three sisters, Vivian Gjerseth and Blanche of Beloit and Mrs. Irene Romonic of Rockford.
