Lucy Buckner married Rufus Cooper in Houston County 12 February 1898. We find them on the 1900 Houston County Census living with three sons Joseph Cooper 13 years old,Parker Cooper 12 years old and Marshall Cooper age 10. She tells the Census taker she is the mother of three children.

We find Lucy on the 1910 Houston County Census living with her husband, Rufus and 17 year old son Marshall Cooper. She tells the Census taker she was born in Georgia, as were both her parents.

They would have been living in the Cooper Settlement, which would be now off CR 3070 in the Porter Springs Community.

We do not find Lucy on the 1920 Houston County Census.
