She moved to the Modesto community in 1946. teaching in the Modesto school system prior to taking the Ceres High School post in 1949. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Leedy leaves her husband, George C. Leedy, Modesto; children, Melvin T. Hamp, San Jose and Victor W. Hamp, Los Angeles; stepchildren, Gordon Leedy and Helen Kusnerz, Seattle and six grandchildren.
