FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Cynthia S. Sprow, 59, of 226 Wilkinson Lane, and formerly of DeQuincy, La., died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Sept. 23, 1942, in Bay City, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. and Juanita German Glasgow.

She was a 1961 graduate of DeQuincy High School.

She worked at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg from 1968 until retiring in 1995. She was employed by the U.S. Army Basic Training Center in Fort Polk, La., and owned and operated Nana's Things from her home.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, where she was a member of the choir and served as the church secretary. She was a member of DeQuincy United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir.

She was active with Apprise of Franklin County, Pa.

She was a member and current president of Franklin County Democratic Women's Club; current first vice chair of Franklin County Democratic Committee; past Pennsylvania State Democratic Committee Woman; and a member of AARP of Chambersburg.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Sprow, whom she married Jan. 13, 1967; one daughter, Michelle L. Schroder of Westminster, Colo.; one son, Michael L. Sprow of Fayetteville; one granddaughter and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce L. Glasgow.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, Fayetteville. The Rev. Clyde H. Deshong III will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

Visitation will be Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, Franklin/Fulton Division, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
