Mrs. Bland, 65, Expires Today
Mrs. Eliza Bland, 65 years old, resident of five miles northeast of Bloomfield for the past eight years, died at 1:00 o’clock this morning at her home. She had been ill for the past six months and seriously ill for the past 3 months.
Mrs. Bland moved to Bloomfield after having resided at Sandborn and Linton.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1886, the daughter of John and Sarah Rose Sanders.
She was a member of the Free Pentecostal Log Cabin church east of Bloomfield.
Her first husband, Richard Wright, died Dec. 1, 1925. She is survived by the second husband, Allen Bland, to whom she was married Nov. 15, 1943, two daughter, Mrs. Fred Arthur of Indianapolis and Mrs. Dorothy Payne of Linton; one son, Charles Wright of Park City, Ky.; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Clyde Bland of Bloomfield and Raymond Bland of Solsberry; one step-daughter, Mrs. Jessie Helms of Bloomfield, and four brothers, George and Emil Sanders of Sandborn, Elmer Sanders of Indianapolis and Robert Sanders of Uhrichsville, Ohio. Two sons, one daughter and two brothers preceded her in death.
The body was taken to the Poindexter and Wampler Funeral home at Sandborn and will lie in state at the residence in Bloomfield community after 6;00 o’clock this evening.
