SYMSONIA, Ky. -- Hazel Lou Moss, 78, of Symsonia died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at her home.

She was a retired seamstress for Curlee Clothing and attended Elva Baptist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Cathie Marie (Moss) Minter and husband, Rick, of Symsonia; three grandchildren, Chris Minter and wife, Leann, of Symsonia, Bubba Minter of Symsonia, and Shenelle Gipson and husband, Jonathan, of Symsonia; five sisters, Estella Crowell, Floella Hundley, Rosella Carper, Ondee Reid and Willobee Wallace, all of Symsonia; and two great-grandchildren, Derrick Minter and Brittany Minter, both of Symsonia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Junior" Moss Jr.; one sister, Eudilla Bolton; and two brothers, Homer Smith and Odus Smith. Her parents were Edwards Monroe Smith and Maudie Elizabeth (Thompson) Smith.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Stan Reid officiating. Burial will be in Trace Creek Cemetery in Hickory.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.
