This is my lovely aunt who use to fry chicken for breakfast on Sunday mornings before church. When her first husband died leaving her a young widow with two little boys to raise, she married his brother. It worked out nicely, keeping her in the family where I was sure to see her. She was able to die at home as was her wish because of the kindness of neighbors who took turns caring for her. She was much loved and is still missed.

Aunt Betty was the daughter of Donaldson and Ruth Gill Shearin Wooten.
