Mrs. Nona McFerron Cromer, age 84 of Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at her home. She was born on April 11, 1923 in Rockcastle County, the daughter of Virgil and Nora Bullock Bradley. She was a member of the Science Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived her two sons: Daryl McFerron and wife Barbara of Mt. Vernon and Gerald McFerron and wife Lucille also of Mt. Vernon; one daughter-in-law: Joyce McFerron of Mt. Vernon; two brothers: Carl Bradley of Ohio and Jesse Bradley of Mt. Vernon and one sister: Ada Noe of Somerset. Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Michael McFerron, Shannon McFerron, Debra and Dean McClure, Sharron and Chuck Bryant, Shonda Singleton, Rebecca and Paul Renner and Krystal McFerron all of Mt. Vernon, Nelson and Kim McFerron of Livingston and Randell and Marie McFerron of Richmond; eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Cromer was preceded in death by her first husband, Thurman McFerron; her second husband, Oakley Cromer; one son: Lloyd Junior McFerron; three sisters: Ruby Mink, Margie McFerron and Zelma Mcferron; and two brothers: Joe Bradley and Arvil Bradley.
