Mary Elizabeth Ingram-Slaughter, daughter of the late John and Annie Lizzie Ingram, was born, and grew up, in Waverly Hall, GA, July 22, 1925. As a child, she joined St. Paul C.M.E. Church, Shiloh, GA, where she served faithfully for about 25 years. After moving to AL, she served at Greater Bethel Baptist Church, Alexander City for several years.
She transcended September 28, 2015, at Pruitt Health in Greenville, GA. Her spirit has joined her parents’ and nine siblings’ - Joseph, John Will, Baker, Roland, Girlie, Clyde, Eugene, Cullen and Inell. Before her health began to fail, she was a dedicated wife for LM Slaughter, Alexander City. She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters-in-law - Stella Jacobs Ingram of Atlanta and Cornelia Howard Ingram of Waverly Hall, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
