SHIRLEY ANN "BURT" BURTON, departed this earthly life on Friday Dec 12, 2008 surrounded by her family.

Born May 20, 1936 in Neptune Tenn she was the daughter of the late James F and Mary M Burton.

She was a 1954 graduate of Central High School and member of Kingdom Destiny Church. She retired from Fort Wayne State Developmental Center and The Boys and Girls Club (McCormick Facility).

Survivors are a special daughter of Plano, Texas; 3 sons all of Fort Wayne and one of Arlington Texas; one sister, Regina Watson of Fort Wayne; a very close and special cousin and special uncle; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Todd Darnell Burton; her companion of 50 years, Willie James "Blue" Roberts; and one sister, Earline Maxie.

Service is 10 am Saturday at Christ Temple Apostolic Church 1327 Winter St. Calling is from 5 to 8 pm Friday at Ellis Funeral Home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
