Funeral services for Betty Lou Waterman, former area resident, will be held on Friday, October 9 at 10 a.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery.

Betty was born on December 2, 1926 in Frederick, Oka. the daughter of William Earl and Orpha Hazel Garvin Harris and she passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Hope West Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, Colo. Betty married Tunney Frances Waterman on April 28, 1945.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, sewing and embroidering in her spare time.

Betty is survived by her children, Janet Stanko (Steve) of Grand Junction, Colo., Greta Meyer (Gary) of Jerome, Ida., Vera Walker (Richard) of Edson, Alberta, Canada, Mark Waterman (Andrea) of Upland, Calif., Aleta Huck (Bob) of Clayton, Calif., and Arie Waterman (Lucile) of Cortez; her sister, Hazel Gohr of Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her husband; and her siblings, Bill Harris, Lucile Semideni, J.D. Harris, John Harris, Thurman Harris and Ruby Jean Barber.
