Man Who Shot Him Last Week
is in Jail at Pawhuska

Burbank, Okla., Jan. 31 - Jack McCaleb, an old timer in this region who was shot last Tuesday night by Fred Lange in a local pool hall, has been taken to a hospital at Fairfax. Physicians state that his condition is critical and he may not recover.

The shooting is said to have taken place as a result of the quarrel between the two men over Lange's wife from whom he had been separated for some time. Lange accused McCaleb of being the cause of the trouble.

Lange has been taken to the county jail at Pawhuska to await his preliminary hearing.
