MINBURN - A funeral for Nellie Marie Mishler, 95, of Minburn was held Dec. 29, 1993 at Brandt Funeral Home at Dallas Center, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery at Minburn. Mrs. Mishler died of a stroke on Dec. 21 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center at Des Moines.

The daughter of William F. and Mettie Perkins Pearson, she was born at Chatsworth, Ill. on Nov. 16, 1898. She had lived all of her life in Dallas County, and on Dec. 13, 1918, she married Clifford Eugene Mishler. She was the owner/operator of Nellie's Cafe in Minburn, retiring in 1960, and she was a member of the First Christian Church at Adel and the Rebekah Lodge.

Mrs. Mishler was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Roger Allen Mishler and Clifford Eugene Mishler Jr.; by a brother, Lester Pearson; and by a sister, Gertrude Mishler.

Survivors include four sons, Richard Mishler of Seneca, S.C., William Mishler of Browning, Mont., Robert Mishler of Middleburg, Fla. and Jerry Mishler of Oveida, Fla.; six daughters, Marvel Sloop of Sonora, Calif., Bernadine Burkett of Dallas Center, Ruby Mishler of West Des Moines, Albert Nicolaisen of Perry, Delores Woods of Twain Harte, Calif. and Shirlie Simmer of Minburn; a sister, Gladys Gladson of Woodward; 29 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.
