M. E. Keahey owned a grocery store at one time in Roaring Springs. He was a close friend of John Hobert Smith. His daughter Freda was a beloved elementary school teacher for many years. M.E. Keahey, a pioneer of Roaring Springs, died at his filling station on Saturday morning. Survived by his wife; one son - W.H. Keahey; four daughters - Mrs. M. Thompson, Mrs. T.E. Winn, Mrs. Cal Monteath, Miss Freda Keahey.
