BEECH CREEK - Jewell Newman Hunt, 74, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born in Muhlenberg County, May 3, 1929, to the late Clarence and Callie Hunt, he was a laborer for Special Mining Service in Greenville.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Cartwright Hunt; three sons, Terry Hunt of Bowling Green, Dale Hunt of Drakesboro and Ricky Hunt of Powderly; a daughter, Tammy Hunt of Browder; a brother, Bobby Hunt of Beechmont; a sister, Margie Nell Vance of Illinois; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Jan. 2 at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerold Glenn Beliles officiating. Burial followed in Mud River Union Cemetery in Belton.
