(WOODLAND) Memorial service for Robert Marion Lowe, 80, of Woodland, were Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Bear Creek Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Henderson officiating.
Mr. Lowe died Thursday, Sept. 11, at his home.
Mr. Lowe is survived by two daughters, Terry Sinquefield of Dallas, Ga., and Patti Goodwin of Phenix City; two sons, Mitch Lowe of Peachtree City, Ga., and Mike Lowe of Woodland; six grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn Wilson of Woodland and Mary Milner of Valley; and one brother, James Lowe of Woodland.
Mr. Lowe was born April 20, 1928, the son of Herbert Mitchell and Ella Knight Lowe. He was a member of Bear Creek Methodist Church, principal at Smith Station High School for 20 years, specialist from Auburn University and served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Lowe is preceded in death by his wife, Evon L. Lowe and one brother, Julian Lowe.
