BRIGGS - Edward Elliot, 89, Seward, died evening of July 13, 1963, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born July 2, 1874, in Orbisonia, Pa., son of William and Mary (Glant) Briggs. Preceded in death by wife, former Clara Junkins; 2 sons and 2 brothers. Survived by 4 daughters and 2 sons: Dale Briggs, Mrs. Gertrude Links, Mrs. Vera Doyle and Mrs. Betty Rolling, all of Seward; William Briggs, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Charlotte Wisniske, Du Bois, Pa.; also 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Brother of Miss Gertrude Briggs, Seward. Retired coal miner. Friends are being received at Harry C. Clarke Funeral Home, Seward, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Henry A. Morris officiating. Interment, Armagh Cemetery.
