Glenn W. Hudson, 81, of Springfield died at 5:28 p.m. Friday at his residence.
He was born May 20, 1911, in Springfield, the son of Walter and Helen Giles Hudson. He married Wilhelmina Hinrichs in 1935. Mr. Hudson was the owner of Hudson's Variety Store for more than 40 years. He was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Wilhelmina; two daughters, Mrs. William (Judy) Young of Kentucky and Mrs. William (Janet) Hertel of Illinois; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Ralph of Massachusetts; a sister, Edythe Graham of Nebraska; a niece; and several nephews.
Private services will be held in the Chapel Mausoleum in Oak Ridge Cemetery, with Dr. William Young Jr. officiating.
