Curtis William "Sonny" Diamond, 79, a lifelong resident of Langeloth, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, September 29, 2015, in Donnell House, Washington.

He was born September 20, 1936, in Langeloth, a son of the late Curtis S. and Violet Mae Mader Diamond.

Mr. Diamond retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Follansbee, W.Va.

He was a member of Cherry Valley Sportsman's Association, Bur-Lang Club, the former Burgettstown Saddle Club and Burgettstown Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he tended bar.
Mr. Diamond enjoyed fishing and cooking on many hunting trips. He coached Langeloth boys baseball and was an avid Pirates, Steelers and University of Wisconsin fan.

Surviving are five sisters, Joan Littleton (the late Gilbert) of Weirton, W.Va., Claudia Machak (Tom) of Langeloth, Judy Strope (Tom) of Eldersville, Linda Kennedy (Charles) of Eldersville and Hope Bradley (the late Richard) of Florence; a sister-in-law, Lois Diamond of McDonald; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Benjamin Diamond, and three sisters, Emma McCartney (the late Charles), Hazel Nemeth (the late John) and Ruth Slopek (the late Eddie).
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, with the Rev. Christina Hosler officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Burgettstown.
