Celebrated Bald Eagle. Ozzie a male Bald Eagle who primarily lived in his territory at Ft. Myers Florida on the Dick Pritchett family property. Since 2012, they have been providing 24/7 live video stream of this active pair of bald eagles in their nest. Ozzie and his partner Harriet have together raised many eaglets to fledge since 1990. Together they built their current nest in 2007. Ozzie was found injured by railroad tracks at Ft. Myers, Florida on March 17, 2015 and was taken to CROW a teaching veterinary hospital for treatment of a broken bone for three months. On June 17, 2015 Ozzie was released, he left the area and returned to Harriet and his nest September 19, 2015 to find other male eagles trying to court Harriet. After several attempts from Ozzie to rid the other Bald Eagles from the area, he became involved in an aerial attack witnessed by viewers on the ground. He was found a few miles away tangled in some barbed wire. Ozzie was admitted that evening to CROW with life threatening injuries dying two days later.
