Ron grew up near Aurora, attended and graduated from Aurora Schools. He began farming with his father on the family farm, and continued the farming and livestock feeding operation with his own family the rest of his life.
On September 4, 1955, he was united in marriage to Roberta Carlson at Polk, Nebraska. Bert preceded him in death on April 7, 1991. On February 17, 1995, he was united in marriage to Shari Thesenvitz Swanson at Aurora, Nebraska.
Ron's activities and honors include; Hamilton County Outstanding Young Farmer in 1968, Past President of Hamilont County Extension Council, Past President of Hamilton County Livestock Feeders Association, Past Chairman of the Board, Elder, and Deacon of the First Christian Church in Aurora, served on the Board of Directors of the Ground Water Association, served on the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, and was presently serving on the Board of Directors of Hamilton County Zoning Board of Adjustment. He was also active in numerous other church and community activities.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, his wife Roberta, and on son, Russ Beins.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Shari of Aurora, his son Rod of Aurora, three daughters, Rhonda Grosshans of Aurora, Becky Sharp of Omaha, and Robin Sanderson of Marquette, his mother Lily Beins of Lincoln, his brother Ross Beins of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and 8 grandchildren.
