He is survived by one daughter Victoria, 3 granddaughters, sisters: Francis Martinez, Arcenia Dominguez, Ruth Galvan and Cecilia Leon, brothers: David Barela and Richard Leon, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Ruth Barela, sister Armeda Gamez, brother Manuel Barela. Visitation is Tuesday, May 27, 2003 from 6-8pm, with Rosary at 7pm at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at 10am at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th St., Phoenix, AZ.
