Lester D. Allen, 81, of Lodi, California passed from this life on Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Stockton, CA.
Lester was born on January 1, 1934 in Oklahoma to the union of Vern and Agnes (Allen) Fielder.
He was united in marriage to Geraldine Allen on March 14, 1960 in Arkansas.
Lester worked as a manager for Pacific Bell for 30 years before retiring.
Lester was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd degree mason. He was also a member of the O.E.S.
Lester attended Westside Christian Church.
He enjoyed the outdoors from yard work to gardening.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Galen Allen, and one sister, Charlene Allen.
Lester is survived by his wife Geraldine Allen of the home; one son Randy Allen; two daughters, Joselyn Spurgeon, and Renee (Allen) Cheap; one sister, Lillian Urquhart; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Fairview Cemetery, Chetopa (sic) [Melrose], KS. Joe Fry will officiate.
