PEKIN ~ Russell Lynn Behrends, 57, of 4 Fox Point Ct. died at 7:10 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born March 7, 1948 in Pekin to Edward Lee and Bettye Eileen Chitwood Behrends.
Surviving are 2 half-sisters, Leanne (Greg) Waremburg of Tremont and Rebecca (Lance) Meadows of Normal; and 2 half-brothers, Michael (Georgianne) Behrends and David (Julie) Behrends, both of Tremont; aunts and uncles, Leota and Bill Hoffert, Lois and Earl Chitwood, and Alice and Don Chitwood, all of Bartonville, Berniece Eitenmiller and Mary and Ed Sipka, all of Pekin; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Russell had participated in the Special Olympics for many years.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Glendale Memorial Gardens Chapel of Dreams in Pekin. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
