John was the son of Catherine (nee Bortman) of Pennsylvania and Louis Hollander of Alsace-Lorrane, France. He married Elizabeth Frances Goff around 1913. Their children were daughters, Jean M. and Maryellen. John and Elizabeth divorced around 1919.
