Hancock, a Putnam County native, was the son of Ruben and Alice Whitehead
Hancock. A farmer, he was a resident of Rt. 1, Silver Point and was a member
of the New Home Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Hancock, three sons, Jimmy Eddie,
Samuel Lynn and Charles Edwin Hancock; four daughters, Willie Vestie,
Geraldine, Thelma Jane and Vole Mae Hancock all of the home address, two
brothers, Erwin Hancock, Silver Point, Amos Hancock, Varico, FL; three
sisters, Mrs. Cordelia Harris, Lancaster, Mrs. Martha Jones, Nashville, Mrs.
Mattie Jackson, Buffalo Valley.
