The following came from the "Surname Collection" in the Henry County Public Library in Paris, TN. It is filled with notes from family bibles.

"Lewis Cass Alexander b. 14 Dec 1850 Henry County TN farmer and miller at Cottage Grove, TN. Moved to TX? Father Ivan Lawrence Alexander b 1815 in SC farmer, Ivan's father William W. Alexander farmer and preacher. William Alexander gave land for the Center Baptist Church".

The 1860 Henry County Census shows William Alexander as a Baptist Minister. William has a large estate which would allow for him to give land to the Center Baptist Church.

William W. is the gr grandson of Anguish Alexander 1689-1743. He is the son of Randolph Alexander whose son Angus Alexander was also a Minister.
