Although referred in as Tommie in one census record, multiple family members interviewed from 1995-2004 told me they never heard talking about him call him anything but "Art" or Arthur. Among those interviewed included Roberta Stanford, her husband and Mabel Louise Huber Hastings. Family members were confused about his year of birth. Some records show 1875 others 1878 and/or 1879. Wallace State is checking his dob on death certificate for me. It appears it may have given only age and age would seemingly indicate he was born ca 1875. Because of confusion that is why year of birth note shown on FAG. Arthur's grave is not marked. Roberta and her husband believed him to buried near other Hastings graves that in the 30s or 40s were left outside the "fencing" that separated house from cemetery .
