WELLERSBURG--Anthony Theodore Witt, 70, of here, was pronounced dead last night on arrival at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, where he was taken by ambulance. A miner and a farmer, he was born February 21, 1885, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William and Mary [sic] (Clites) Witt of RD 1, Hyndman. His wife was the late Mrs. Beulah (Hunt) Witt. Mr. Witt is survived by five sons, Andrew Kennedy Witt, Corriganville; Beaudrey Witt, at home; Herbert Witt, RD 1, Hyndman; Clyde Barr, Altoona, and Reed Chapman, Cumberland. He also leaves four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Porter, Sand Patch; Mrs. Irvin Diehl [Rosalie] and Mrs. Genevieve Wilhelm, both of RD 1, Hyndman, and Mrs. Mabel Hersh, Cresaptown; a brother, Noah Witt, Wellersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Devore and Mrs. Stella Lowery, both of Ellerslie; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The body will be at the home of his son, Herbert, after 7 p. m. today. Services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p. m. in Wellersburg Evangelical United Brethren Church, of which he was a member. Rev. Charles Raley, pastor, will officiate, and interment will be in Cooke's Cemetery, Wellersburg.
