Dorothy Blair, 93, of Waco, passed away, Friday, September 25, 2015. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park.

Parents: the late William Harvey and Eloise Medlin Renick

Education: attended schools in Nolanville and Killeen, graduating from Killeen High School in 1939; also attended Temple Junior College and graduated from Hieronymous Business School in Temple

Deceased: 1998

Work History: retired from the Waco Veterans Administration Medical Center in 1987; had worked for the U. S. Air Force and U. S. Department of Agriculture; had worked a total of 32 years in Federal Civil Services

Church Affiliation: Western Heights Baptist Church; was active in the Mary-Martha Sunday School Class; served as president of her class, held other class officer positions and was treasurer of the class for many years; also taught Sunday school for many years

Preceded in death by: her daughter, Janet Tynes, in 2000; and sister, Bonnie Cox, in 2009

Survivors include: her son, William "Bill" Blair and wife, Jackie, of Arlington; grandchildren, Jennifer Burdette, of Hewitt, Janna Burdette Kittell and husband, Troy, of Georgetown, and Randy Blair, of Arlington; great-grandchildren: Jameson and Anna Kaye White, Isabel and Lainey Kittell; nephews, Larry Cox and wife, Barbara, and Mike Cox and wife, Karen; cousin, Marvin Tarrant; her favorite ex-son-in-law, Jimmy Burdette and wife, Barbara; as well as many great-nephews and nieces
