Many were with sad faces in our community Thursday morning, October 15, when it became known that Ross Lowe has passed away the previous evening of Bright's disease from which he had been a sufferer since early spring and while his death was expected it nevertheless came as a shock to his many friends and acquaintances. He was a young man of sterling qualities and many friends will miss him from his numerous social gatherings.

He was a member of the Mt. Livermore Grange and had he lived until December his age would have been twenty-two years. The funeral service took place from his late home Saturday afternoon and considering the weather, was largely attended. Reverend Mr. F. W. George of Ashland spoke words of comfort to the bereaved family. Singing by a male quartette. E. G. Gammons was manager and interment was at Squam Bridge Cemetery.
