Joseph H. Dickhaut, 77, of New Baden, IL formerly of Mascoutah, IL born April 25, 1938 died Friday, September 25, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville.
Joe was a retired switchman for the Terminal Railroad and a member of Mascoutah Sportman's Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Genevieve, nee Grimmer, Dickhaut and a brother, Andrew "Andy" Dickhaut..
He is survived by a son, Joseph B. Dickhaut and dear friend, Dusti Plopper of New Baden, IL; a grandson, Joseph A. Dickhaut; two brothers, Oscar Dickhaut of St. Morgan, IL, Simon (Jane) Dickhaut of Mascoutah, IL; two sisters, Rose Monken of Highland, IL, Joan Clark of Mascoutah, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Funeral: Per Joe's request, there will be no visitation or services.
