Son of Peter Bennehoff, mother unknown on DC, he married Emma J. Fry, was a retired physician, lived at 1319 Myrtle St, Franklin, died there of a cerebral hemorrhage and pneumonia, per death certificate 67162, whose informant was his wife. Buried Jul 25 1935.

Dr. Samuel S. Bennehoff Sr., 86, died at 2:40 am today at home, 1319 Myrtle Street, following a stroke suffered last Thursday. He was born in Cherrytree Feb. 14, 1849, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bennehoff.

He graduated from Western Reserve School of Medicine, came to Franklin 28 years ago after retiring from medical practice.

He was the last survivor of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife, Emma Jane Fry Bennehoff; a son, Dr. Samuel S. Bennehoff Jr. of Franklin; seven daughters, Mrs. Oliver Drake, Evansville, IN, Mrs. Harry Henry, Townville, PA, and Mrs. Fred Ferson, Franklin, children by a former marriage, and Mrs. Arthur McElhaney, Franklin, Mrs. W. H. Jones, Chicago, Mrs. Robert Rose, San Antonio, TX, and Mrs. George Beardshall, Clio, MI.

Services will be at her home, probably Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
