Ole E Jorgenson, 43, died in Miles City as a result of a self-inflicted gun-shot wounds on Friday evening. He was found unconscious in his workshop near the Jorgenson house, and was taken to the local hospital, and later transferred to Miles City. He was believed to have been despondent, during recent weeks. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Miles City.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Stith Funeral Chapel and Interment was made at the Terry Cemetery.
Ole Erwin Jorgenson was born January 6, 1909, the son of Carl and Jennie Jorgenson, in Hayward, Sawyer County WI. He attended schools in WI, and made his home there until 1946, when he came to Terry. He was engaged in the carpenter and painting business until the time of his death.
In September, 1947, he was united in marriage to Alice Marie Berger, and to this union were born two daughters, Karen and Gloria. He is also survived by two step-daughters, and three daughters and one son, by a former wife.
He is also survived by four sisters, Viola M Jorgenson, St Paul MN, Mrs R F Bott and Ada Williams, Chippewa Falls WI and Georgia Anderson, Drummond WI, and two brothers, Claude H of Terry and Leone R of LA CA.
