Anita graduated with the MidTerm Class of 1965.......

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Anita. Anita Faye Ashmore passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 26, 2014 in her home in Spring, Texas. at the age of 68. Anita was a loving friend, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had recently retired from her working years and was set to enjoy her retirement spending time with family, and being amazed by her great-grandson, Jackson. All who knew Anita will cherish her quick wit, her kindness and incredible love for animals. She was a loving friend, sister, mother and cherished grandmother devoted to those she loved.

She is survived by her sister Stella Walleck, her only daughter Debbe Brannen, grandson Julian Brannen Craig, great-grandson Jackson Craig, son-in-law Daniel Porter, nephew and niece Scott & Amanda Conner, great-nieces Sydney, Molly, and great-nephew Andrew.
She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Bates, father James Ashmore, step-father Earl Bates and beloved aunt Bernice Bates along with uncles Clarence Wilson and Garnold Wilson....Anita attended Durkee Elementary, Burbank Junior High and the newly opened Fonville Junior High and although she officially graduated in summer school of 1964, she was always a member of the January 1965 mid-term class of Sam Houston High School, Houston, Texas.....

A Celebration of Her Life and Our Love for Her will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd at the Forest Park Funeral Home of The Woodlands, Texas. Family visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral at 10:00 a.m. Internment will be at Forest Park Cemetery, The Woodlands, Texas.

Memorial tributes may be made to SPCA of Montgomery County in her honor.
