She is survived by her nieces, Robin Loya, Christy Medina, and Carmen Hernandez; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and one brother, Paul Edward Abel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Brooksy Abel; two sisters, Catherine McDowell and Deborah Marino; and two brothers, Charles Abel and David Abel. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 9 a.m. until the mass begins at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1425 East Shelby Drive, Memphis, TN 38116. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Memphis. Arrangements are in the care of Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, MS.
