Dropped Dead.
Daniel G. Doty of Bates City, Mo., dropped dead at his home Saturday morning, October 17. Mr. Doty was in his usual health and had eaten a hearty breakfast, and had made preparations to go to Odessa, some three miles distant, to meet his son on business. He was passing through the kitchen when he began to stagger, and was caught by his wife and helped into a chair, where he died instantly.
Mr. Doty left this state and moved to Missouri about 30 years ago, where he has since resided. He was seventy-three years of age, and a brother of John Doty of Trafalgar. He was a member of the Christian church and for many years a Mason.
