Marie B Young

Velma Marie Bushnell Young, age 76, returned to our Heavenly Father on September 15, 2015 in Delta, Utah. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family after a valiant battle with bone cancer.

Marie was born September 1, 1939 in Meadow, Utah to Bernard and Phebe Ingrid Taylor Bushnell. She was the third of eight children.

She became a licensed hairdresser in Salt Lake City. Shortly after, she married her childhood crush, Max Halley Young, from Abraham, Utah on June 24, 1960, in the Manti LDS Temple.

Marie was always an active member of the LDS Church, where she served faithfully in many callings. She served as vice chairman of the Millard County Republican Party, and was a county registrar and voting judge for many years in Delta. She enjoyed volunteering at the schools.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family on both sides of the veil. She spent countless hours doing genealogy and family history research.

Marie will be remembered for her smile, optimism, charity and her love of the gospel.
