GLADYS LUCILLE MAYNARD ADAMS, 92, of Paris, passed from this life Monday September 22, 2015 at Legend Healthcare Center. Graveside rites will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 25, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery, with Tom O’Neal officiating. Friends may greet the family at the cemetery following the service.

Gladys was born February 9, 1923 in the Biardstown community of Lamar County, a daughter of Henry L. and Anna McElyea Maynard. She was a graduate of Lamar County schools, then worked as a nurse in the area. She later spent a career as a cashier with Circle W Health foods, where she enjoyed helping people. She married James William “Pop” Adams on December 25, 2041, in Hugo, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1999.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Lanny Adams and Tim Adams; two grandsons, Jeffrey Adams and Michael Adams; a great-grandson, Kamron Dabbs; two sisters, Edna Maynard and Florence Caviness; and a brother, Buster Maynard.

She is survived by a son, Jimmy Adams; five grandchildren, Steve Adams and wife Summer, Kristi Streit and husband Jamie, Regina Gilbreath and husband Rob, Melanie Adams, and Gabby Adams; great-grandchildren Audrey Adams, Zoe Adams, Harley Adams and wife Sarah, Abby Adams, Bella Adams, Vincent Adams, Kaiya Gilbreath, Philip Gilbreath, Dayla Gilbreath, MaKinzi Adams, Jazzy Dabbs, and Katie Streit; great-great-grandchildren Aiden Adams, Jace Adams and Haven Adams.
