Thomas W. Abshire, (Tommy), 76, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, July 27, 1994.

Surviving are his daughter, Debra K. Ramsey, Falls Church; a niece, Katherine Christine Abshire, Roanoke; also seven sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel Kinzie, Salem, Clara Rockwood, Worcester, Mass., Christine and George Ballew, Hampton, Lois Young, Roanoke, Lottie and Forest Turner of Illinois, Gerlda and Mike Mills, Roanoke, Maxine Abshire of Illinois; a dear friend, Dorothy Jones, Roanoke.

Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 12 noon Saturday, July 30, 1994, with the Rev. J. Richard Gottshall officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
