He was born Nov. 3, 1928, in Spruce Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Louella J. (Wagner) Sigler Cisney, whom he married Jan. 23, 1970, one son, Steven Cisney of Port Royal, one daughter, Debra Sigler Hurrell and husband, Wade, of Mifflintown, one brother, Harold Cisney of Lancaster, and one half brother, Donald Cisney of Delaware.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Duard C. and Alma (Fisher) Cisney, his grandparents who raised him, Harry "Bud" and Alverta (Scott) Cisney, one daughter, Lisa Kay Sigler, one brother, Robert W. Naylor, and one half-brother, Russell Cisney.
Dave was a veteran, serving in the United States Army.
He was a truck driver who retired from Juniata Concrete.
He was a member of Centre Lutheran Church, the Juniata Co. Sportsmen's Assoc., and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting for arrowheads, farming, hunting and was often seen at Stop 35. His family and his two dogs, Emmie Lou and Bubba, were very important to him.
His service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the Juniata Co. Veterans Council.
There will be a viewing on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
