Emily Theresa Ammerata, 94, of Brick, N.J., died peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2015, at her home. Born in Jersey City, Emily lived in Jersey City before moving to Point Pleasant 34 years ago. She moved to Chelsea at Brick 5 years ago. Emily and her family operated Baldwin Cleaners in Jersey City for 21 years before retiring. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Joseph's Parish, Jersey City and was a member of the St. Anthony Guild and the Sacred Heart League.

Emily was predeceased by her husband, John, who died in 1991. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Maria and Louis Masciocchi, Brick, and Gina and Rick Nardini, Toms River. Emily was the loving Grandmother of Louis, Marc and Skyler and the beloved Great Grandmother of Devon, Lauren and Lucy.

Visiting will be on Tuesday 4-8 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. Entombment will be on Wednesday at 11:30 at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Emily's name to Grace Hospice, 105 Fieldcrest Avenue, Suite 402, Edison, N.J. 08837.
